I used to go to midnight mass every year but I haven't been in probably the past five or so years. I'm like June.....maybe one of these years I'll attend a service again.
I really enjoy going to church from sept to may Those are the months I assisted with the catechetical program my kids attende, after which we went to church. Hubby doesn't like to go, either. I know all the songs and sing along loudly. It's been 4 years since I've been to church. But, baby Jesus goes into the manger at midnight, it's the only holiday adornment I put out this year.
Yes, I love the Christmas Eve services. I always cry! We also have a Christmas party (this year it's on the 10th) and because Christmas is on Sunday, like Aladdin pointed out, I'll be back there for that service too! I love church -- those people are like family to me. A weirdly disfunctional family, but family nonetheless. Gina, I love to sing loudly too and feel bad for the people who are near me because I cant' carry a tune in a bucket! But, the only command we have is to "make a joyful noise!" and so I do! I'm confident that by the time it reaches God's ears, it sounds like angel voices!
oh Gosh when I sing my dogs cry and howl - no joke my cats look at me like "seriously are you doing this to annoy me?" my black kitten hisses at me when I sing.
I go to mass every Sunday and most holy days. I am catholic and enjoy mass, to me it is relaxing and I look forward to receiving the Eucharist, it makes me feel good.
I am generally exhausted after working overtime all week in the candy store so I just go home on Christmas Eve and crash. Therein lies the problem with working retail - I'm just too tired to enjoy Christmas and Easter.
Good Daughter. My son wants to go, but I'll be traveling for Christmas, won't be able to...sorry sal, sorry £ord I'm there in Spirit though.
