Meniere's syndrome – a psychosomatic disorder?

    If your doctor does not listen respectfully and take you seriously, leave and never go back. In my opinion, a suggestion of hypochondria is just that. I wouldn’t pay another cent to someone that condescending. Leave reviews of the doctor on forums so that other patients are aware. There’s no place for that type of arrogance in the medical community.

    Valium and other benzos actually are given for Menieres. In the early stages of my Menieres I took a very low maintenance dose of Xanax daily and it helped immensely to maximize the amount of time between attacks and minimize the attack when I got them. You do have to be careful about raising your dose and addiction but your doctor should help with that.
